SecurePipe Completes Acquisition of mailMAX, an Email Security Management Company

Integration of Award Winning Email Security Management Service Expands Client Base and Accelerates Development of Managed Email Security Services
Lincolnshire, IL — August 26, 2005 — SecurePipe, a leading provider of managed network security services today announced it has completed the acquisition of Mycom’s mailMAX Managed Services Division and the mailMAX email management technologies from the Mycom Group, Inc., a technology products and professional services reseller and software development company whose stock is traded on the over the counter market (OTCBB:MYCM).

“We are pleased to complete this acquisition and excited about the opportunity mailMAX offers us,” commented Art Roldan, CEO of SecurePipe. The transaction to execute this acquisition was completed six weeks following the letter of intent announced on July 15th. As part of the agreement between the two companies, SecurePipe has acquired the mailMAX technology, assumed responsibility for delivery of managed services to clients and has retained key personnel. Mycom will distribute mailMAX managed services operating as a SecurePipe resale partner and focus on its other businesses.

“Our entire organization has been working to prepare for a smooth transition,” said Roldan. “With this acquisition we have increased the number of managed service clients under contract and acquired state of the art technology which will be quickly adopted to enhance our existing services. Furthermore, we will accelerate the research and development already underway to expedite the launch of encryption, archiving and compliance solutions that will help position SecurePipe to compete for a larger share of the growing market for services that help address the escalating regulatory compliance requirements affecting so many organizations,” concluded Roldan.

“I am confident that mailMAX clients will be pleased with the transition to SecurePipe,” said Rob Bransom, Mycom’s CEO. “SecurePipe is well positioned to realize the potential of this technology. We look forward to helping them develop the mailMAX franchise as their partner here in the tri-state region,” said Bransom.

The acquisition of mailMAX, which was recognized earlier this year as a recipient of the CRN Test Center Award, helps establish SecurePipe as a leading provider in the growing market for secure managed email services. With the completion of this transaction, an integrated suite of SecurePipe mailMAX services will be made available to all new customers as well as to existing SecurePipe clients.

SecurePipe’s mailMAX Email Security Management services will now feature an integrated, customizable suite of solutions that include virus blocking and outbound filtering as well as spam prevention, an encrypted email option, along with archiving and compliance services slated for release later this year. Other SecurePipe managed service categories include Intrusion Detection, Firewall Lifecycle Management, along with related firewall services such as Intrusion Prevention, VPN, Web Content Filtering and Remote Access Control as well as Security Monitoring and Vulnerability Testing Services.
