Community Education Centers Announces Contract Award for the Management of the 1883-bed Delaware County Prison

West Caldwell, NJ, Oct 24, 2008 –

Community Education Centers, Inc. (CEC) announced today that the company has been awarded a contract to provide detention management services at the 1883-bed Delaware County Prison in Thornton, Pennsylvania.  CEC will begin management of the facility on January 5, 2009.

CEC’s Secure Facilities Division consists of over fifteen jail and detention facilities with a combined capacity of more than 9,000 male and female beds. Offenders are referred by local, county, state, and federal jurisdictions, including the U.S. Marshals Service, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
